One of my great pleasures in life is to work with really talented artists. Photographer Catherine Karnow is one such person. She travels the globe for National Geographic, the pinnacle gig for any photographer. Her work is transcendent. Karnow was recently awarded several prizes by Corbis. Last year, I took Catherine’s photography workshop in Italy.
What makes Catherine’s work so remarkable is that she’s not just snapping a moment—she captures the essence of the person, their context, and what it all says about the culture. And it’s all in one frame. See for yourself as she takes your imagination by the hand and flies it around the world in 10 immersive slides. Congratulations, Catherine.
